I took out a van insurance reference 3996060/1 on 6th September 2021 and declared the only relevant claim .
I have just returned from my holiday and have received a letter saying that I did not declare a claim on 1st December 2016 and that there is an additional amount of £77.95 to pay.
The reason that i did not disclose this incident was that I did not in fact claim and the only reason that I contacted my insurer was to notify them of an incident wherein my mirror was broken by another vehicle and I just wanted to notify my insurers in case the other driver tried to make a claim against my insurance.
I replaced the mirror myself and there was no claim made. I cannot communicate over the telephone as I am presently receiving treatment for hearing loss am am unable to use the telephone.
